Requested a while back, the uneven but sometimes fascinating melange concocted by this moody Bay Area crew fused languidly reverberant and drifty pop strategies to pensively tense Iron Curtain-like minimal synthy structures. Don't be put off by the late date for this sorta thing. Some of this is quite fine...

Initially I found the vocals a little callow sounding, but the farther I get into the album the more I'm coming around to them.
The boneheaded Miami-Vice guitar in "Sewing Machine" is so sweet!

Just want you to know that "Batang Frisco" is my huband, Bill DiMichele's creation. He wrote all the songs and lyrics. He also has a CD, "Sick Man Teacher Dead Man". Check him out in Wikipedia, Pure Volume and MySpace.
